Piece of Cake Studios has announced that their cooperative survival horror hit, Dark Hours, is officially heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on April 22. The game, which has already found huge success on PC with over 500,000 copies sold, will be available for $14.99 on consoles.
Dark Hours puts you and up to three friends in the shoes of a robbery crew. You start the game with a simple plan: break in, steal the loot, and get out. However, things quickly spiral out of control. After the power cuts out, you realize you are trapped inside with a monster that wants you dead. To survive the night, you will need to use stealth and teamwork to navigate the dark corridors of high security buildings.
Huge Amount of Content and Features
The console version brings everything PC players have enjoyed. You can explore 60 different maps across five unique environments, including cruise ships, casinos, museums, nuclear power plants, and auction houses. There are over 12 different mission objectives to tackle, ranging from stealing rare artifacts to destroying evidence.
To help you survive, you have access to over 50 heist items. You can use hacking tools, EMP grenades, GPS trackers, and even instant cameras to track your enemies. But be careful, as every loud step could attract one of the eight unique monsters, each with its own special abilities and weaknesses.
More Than Just Survival
Beyond the main survival horror gameplay, Dark Hours offers plenty of ways to keep playing. You can build your reputation with three different mafia factions to unlock exclusive gear and customize your character with over 100 items. For those seeking a challenge, the game includes four difficulty levels, topped off by the terrifying Nightmare mode.
Players can also jump into a competitive PvPvE mode where two teams of robbers fight each other while surviving the environment. If you need a break from the tension, the game includes three extra modes: Golden Rabbit, Curling, and Red Light Green Light. Best of all, the console release supports cross-play, so you can play with your friends regardless of which platform they use.
